The Fairhill Campus was originally established as the US Marine Hospital to care for seamen, boatmen and their brethren in 1930 with several doctors, nurses and attendants. The hospital was closed in 1956.
The facility reopened as a Residential Mental Health Center in 1963 and in 1973, a three-story wing added.
Today, the original Marine Hospital campus is now home to the Fairhill Partners, an outstanding example of a Social Purpose Real Estate community.
